Far better than expected
Rugged, stylish, comfortable. I gambled and took these shoes with me on a 20 day trip to Sri Lanka and Thailand in heavy humidity. They were pretty amazing right out of the box. I would give 4.5 stars if I could for some specific traits I’d prefer in a barefoot shoe but they’re still great. Wanted to leave a review because I struggled to find enough reviews that were relatable on the Lono Wild. Pros: super comfortable, very cool design, sticky-as-all outsole, seem to be well made. No issues with rubbing or chafe. Seem to dry decently quick. (Minor) Cons: wish these were even lightr for barefoot shoes but the extra weight preserves their structural integrity. Design could do for some side vents in the leather for hotter weather. However, when I wore no socks or a super short sock with them they were much more comfortable in the real-feel 107 degree heat in SEA. I was impressed. With socks, my feet felt like they were sweating. Even with thin merino. Overall, I love these so much. Looking forward to having them as a main travel shoe.
